Zi Wei is known as the "Emperor Star" — the king of all stars in Zi Wei Dou Shu. It is the most important star, determining the overall quality and pattern of an entire chart.

**Origin and significance:** According to legend, the Zi Wei Star Lord is the deity governing human destiny. In ancient astronomy, Zi Wei is the Pole Star — the center of the sky around which all other stars revolve.
